Gurdon Blanks Lionhearts, Sullivan Wins Friday, August 7th, 2020 Lester Sullivan of the Gurdon Pelicans just toyed with the Lannister United Lionhearts today, blanking them 7-0. He was almost untouchable, baffling them on a 3-hit shutout with 9 strikeouts and no walks. "I'm sweating now because it's hot in here," Sullivan said in the clubhouse after the game. "But it didn't even feel like I was sweating out there." One of his teammates said it was easy to play behind him today. "It was like he's just playing with the hitters and doing whatever he wanted to do." Sullivan has made 16 starts so far this year and put up a 5-7 won-lost record with a 4.17 ERA. In 118.2 innings he has allowed 120 hits, walked 50 and struck out 103. |
