3AA Star of the Week Picked Monday, August 17th, 2020 21-year-old Shawn Sánchez made a few Battle Ground headlines during this past week as the rookie shortstop proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and M3L Double A officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 10 hits in 15 at-bats to put up a .667 average. Sánchez collected no home runs, 4 RBIs and scored 5 runs. This season Sánchez is batting .266 with 4 home runs. His totals include 36 RBIs and 48 runs scored. |
