20-Game Hitting Streak for Riley Friday, June 19th, 2020 Michael Riley of the Port Royal Disaster just keeps going and going. The hot-hitting right fielder went 2-for-6 in his team's 12-5 victory over the Tortolita Drummers at Drummers Ballpark and extended his hitting streak to 20 games. "He is definitely on a roll right now" said a Drummers pitcher. "I thought I made some good pitches against him, but he's a good hitter and hit 'em anyway." When asked about his performance, Riley said, "I don't care if I go hitless as long as we get the win." Michael Riley flied out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Armando Hernández in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, struck out in the 6th, grounded out in the 8th and struck out in the 9th. This season Riley is batting .314 with 32 hits, 4 home runs, 22 RBIs, 13 walks, .391 OBP and has scored 17 runs. He has played in 24 games. |
