Stevens Sensational, 5-for-5 Thursday, July 9th, 2020 Today at KC Reserve Stadium Karl Stevens put on a hitting clinic as the Athletic Club KC second baseman sprayed hits all over the ballpark by lashing Salt Lake City pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. But the Buzz didn't really seem to care, they won the game 7-5. He told BNN reporters after the game that he just hit it where they pitched it. "Too often I try to pull the ball too much. Today I just went with the pitch. It's great to get 5 hits, but it would have been nicer to win the ballgame. too." Karl Stevens singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th. Currently Stevens has 1 home run and a .307 batting average. |
