Yang Hits in 20 Consecutive Games
Thursday, May 7th, 2020
Ji-chol Yang of the Hialeah Dodos just keeps going and going. The hot-hitting first baseman went 1-for-3 in his team's 12-1 victory over the Augusta Timber Hawks at Timber Hawks Ballpark and extended his hitting streak to 20 games.
"He is definitely on a roll right now" said a Timber Hawks pitcher. "I thought I made some good pitches against him, but he's a good hitter and hit 'em anyway."
When asked about his performance, Yang said, "I don't care if I go hitless as long as we get the win." Ji-chol Yang walked in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, walked in the 5th, struck out in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 7th.
In this current campaign Yang is hitting at a .423 clip with no home runs and 6 RBIs.
