Belugas Pitching Ravaged by Young Wednesday, July 29th, 2020 The Bay Hawks were defeated 14-13 today at Belugas Ballpark by the Belugas, but you can't say Denny Young didn't give it his best try. The Bay Hawks first baseman came to the plate 6 times and collected 5 hits. It was a good day for Young and a tough day for Wilmington. "I just go up there and swing away and hope it hits the barrel of the bat," he said. "There really isn't any plan." No plan or not, Young delivered today... 5-for-6 is outstanding in any league. Denny Young hit a two-run double in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit a two-run double in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and singled in the 9th. Young is hitting .351 this season with 9 home runs, 44 RBIs and 28 runs scored. He has 72 hits in 205 at-bats. |
