This Week's Star Player is Pérez Monday, September 21st, 2020 Iván Pérez is respected by most Northern Virginia Retrievers fans for his no-frills style of play. The 29-year-old catcher went about his business with vigor last week to grab the Silver League Player of the Week honors. He compiled a .429 average (9-for-21) with 4 home runs, 7 RBIs and 6 runs scored. Thus far this season Pérez is hitting .278 with 18 home runs, 58 RBIs and 48 runs scored. He has 98 hits in 352 at-bats and has played in 93 games. |
