Star of the Week Picked in SA Monday, August 24th, 2020 Not every ball that came off Edgar González's bat last week was a line drive or a towering shot -- it just seemed that way to the teams that played the Bellevue Bruins. For his exploits, González was named this week's USSL Single A Player of the Week award. The Bellevue center fielder put up 11 hits in 26 at-bats and no home runs while hitting .423 with 5 RBIs and 5 runs scored. For the season González is currently batting .237 with 2 home runs and 26 RBIs. In 59 games he has reached base at a .279 rate and scored 22 runs to date. |
