But they can't, so the good hitters get the big bucks. Félix De La Hoya showed how it's done as he went 5 for 5 against the York Revolution and helped the Louisiana Dragoons beat them 14-1. The manager for the Revolution told the BNN sportswriters, "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it. That's the game of baseball. Don't make mistakes and you win a lot more ballgames." If De La Hoya keeps hitting like this, he could be headed for a big pay raise. Félix De La Hoya hit an RBI double in the 1st, was hit by a pitch in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th. This season De La Hoya is swinging the bat at a .233 rate with 37 hits in 159 at-bats. To date he has hit no home runs, scored 21 runs and driven in 11. |
