Fur Traders Chill Ríos's Hot Streak
Tuesday, June 18th, 2019
The Tacoma Fur Traders got more than a 6-0 victory over Westwood today at Sixshooters Stadium. They put an end to Juan Ríos's 22-game hitting spree by holding him without a hit in 3 at-bats. But it was no big deal to the Sixshooters left fielder.
Ríos seemed to feel more for his team than himself.
"I had some great looks at some pitches that I should have hit. I missed some that I shouldn't have swung at. All in all, I wasn't much help with the bat today."
This season Ríos has delivered 44 hits in 122 at-bats for a .361 average with 4 home runs. He is getting on base at a .448 clip and his totals also include 14 RBIs and 25 runs scored. This year Ríos has played in 32 games.
