Velocity Snap Adams's Streak at 21
Monday, September 2nd, 2019
The hitting streak that Paynesville shortstop Evan Adams had going was ended today by the Colorado Springs Velocity. Adams, who had hits in his previous 21 games, was stymied today, but the rest of his team picked him up, earning the Pyramids a 5-4 victory at Pyramids Ballpark. He was hitless in 3 at-bats.
"Hitting streaks come and go. One good thing came out of it, however, it perked up my batting average a little bit, but did put a little pressure on me. It's hard to be natural at the plate with the streak always in the back of your mind. If it had to end, I'm glad it was in a win."
Adams is batting .307 with 15 home runs and 46 RBIs this season.
