UAA Names Best Player Monday, August 12th, 2019 20-year-old Mike Lovell made a few Paynesville headlines during this past week as the rookie shortstop proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and USSL Double A officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 6 hits in 12 at-bats to put up a .500 average. Lovell collected 1 home run, 4 RBIs and scored 6 runs. This season Lovell is hitting .308 with 24 hits, 2 home runs, 11 RBIs, scored 10 runs and played in 25 games. |
