MAA Star of the Week Honored Monday, September 23rd, 2019 So far in his young career, António Martínez has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the M3L Double A in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 18-year-old Salem Misfits third baseman hit at a torrid .607 clip as he collected 17 hits in 28 at-bats, 2 home runs, 5 RBIs and 8 runs scored. This season Martínez is batting .342 with 55 hits, 7 home runs, 24 RBIs, 14 walks, .400 OBP and has scored 26 runs. He has played in 40 games. |
