Osborne Stretches Hit String to 20
Sunday, August 4th, 2019
The Aeros won the game today, but you would have been hard pressed to find anyone talking about it. The focus seemed to be on center fielder Ken Osborne extending his hitting streak to 20 games by going 1-for-4 in the game.
"Sure we are happy that we won, but seeing Ken extend his streak was also special," said a jubilant Battle Ground manager. "He's a special player who is capable of doing some amazing things at the plate."
For the record, the Aeros defeated the Nortonville Cherokees 14-1 at Nortonville Grounds. Ken Osborne singled in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, walked in the 4th, was hit by a pitch in the 6th, grounded out in the 7th and flied out in the 9th.
This season Osborne has hit at a .307 clip with 21 RBIs, 0 home runs and 35 runs scored. He has played in 47 games.
