Castillo Nabs 2AAA #1 Pitcher Award Sunday, September 1st, 2019 Over the past month Iván Castillo has turned quite a few heads. He's young, talented and able to pitch with the established arms in the League 2 AAA. He proved all that and now he's been named August's Pitcher of the Month. The rookie for the Austin Capitols posted 3-1 mark and a 3.19 ERA. In 6 starts he tossed 42.1 innings, permitted 31 hits and fanned 50 batters. This year Castillo has compiled a 4-3 mark with a 5.45 ERA in 11 starts. |
