Thursday, August 1st, 2019
Any time a rookie makes a splash on the scene, it's got to be great for his career potential. Just ask Ron Barry, who put together a stellar month out of the pen. The Bakersfield Nobles reliever, 25, kept the opposition off balance all month as he held them to a .267 average and walked away with the League 1 AAA Pitcher of the Month award for July.
Barry posted a 3-0 mark and a 3.04 ERA in no relief appearances. In 23.2 innings, he had no saves, 18 strikeouts, and 16 walks.
For the season Barry is 3-and-0 with 2 saves and a 3.38 ERA. He has given up 37 hits in 37.1 innings with 27 strikeouts.
