McGillivour Raps Alaskan for 5 Hits
Saturday, July 20th, 2019
Players get multihit games all the time. But a 5-hit game comes around only once in a blue moon. It happened at Field of the Serpents when Eldon McGillivour of Pawnee scattered 5 hits all over the ballpark against the Alaskan Humpbacks. He walloped 5 hits in 6 at-bats in his career-day performance to help the ParksNRec get by the Humpbacks 13-10. In a talkative and jovial mood after the game, the second baseman of the ParksNRec said, "Whoa, my swing was really, really there today. I made some good, sweet-spot contact and when that happens... good things happen... like 5-6. I could get used to a lot of days like this one." Eldon McGillivour singled in the 2nd, grounded out in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, hit a two-run double in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and singled in the 9th.
This year McGillivour has batted at a .220 pace with 37 hits, 3 home runs, 16 RBIs and scored 19 times.
