Smashing Success: Sánchez Wallops 3 HR Wednesday, July 17th, 2019 It wasn't your average day at the ballpark. The fans witnessed Leonardo Sánchez power his way into the record book with three home runs and propel the Oceanside Oceanliners to a 14-6 win over the Alaskan Humpbacks. He spoke with reporters after his historic day. "I've always loved hitting in Field of the Serpents. You can see the ball so well." For the day he collected 4 hits in 6 at-bats, scored 3 runs and had 10 RBIs. Leonardo Sánchez hit a two-run single in the 1st, struck out in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Jeff Moore in the 6th, hit a three-run home run off Freddy Ramos in the 7th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Jim Unknown in the 8th and struck out in the 9th. Thus far this season Sánchez is hitting .278 with 7 home runs, 25 RBIs and 19 runs scored. He has 30 hits in 108 at-bats and has played in 32 games. |
