Appeldoorn Has 25-Game Hitting Streak Wednesday, September 25th, 2019 The Lynx proved to be mere mortals today as they lost to the Dodos 9-7, but Timmy Appeldoorn continued his god-like hitting as he collected 3 hits and ran his hitting streak to 25 games. When asked about his torrid-hitting catcher, the Calgary skipper said, "Appeldoorn is playing great and is on fire now. Hopefully his play can spark the rest of our team and help us pick up some wins." Appeldoorn was apparently not happy with the game and when pressed by reporters in the locker room only said, "We lost the game. Nothing else really matters." Timmy Appeldoorn singled in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, doubled in the 6th and singled in the 8th. So far this season Appeldoorn has put up a .338 batting average with 125 hits, 16 home runs and 64 RBIs. |
