Buccaneers Chill Franklin's Hot Streak Tuesday, September 3rd, 2019 Lawrence Franklin's 27-game hitting streak has now come and gone. It was snapped today in the Timber Hawks 4-3 setback to the Buccaneers. Franklin went without a hit in 4 trips to the plate. Talking to BNN after the game he was visibly upset. But the streak had little to do with it. "I'm disappointed we lost, I'm not one bit disappointed that the streak ended," Franklin said. "The hitting streak was just one of those things where it was fun while it lasted, but I'm not going to lose any sleep tonight." This season Franklin has 11 home runs and a .289 batting average. |
