Maldonado Clips Belugas for Cycle Monday, July 8th, 2019 Some days you have a great game and your team wins... and sometimes you have a great game and your team loses. That's what happened to Gabriel Maldonado of the Fog. Today the 20-year-old Sunset District first baseman had a great day at the plate. He hit for the cycle by pounding out 4 hits in 6 at-bats, had 3 RBI and scored 1 run, but his club came out on the wrong end of the score and lost to the Brinkley Belugas 12-11. Gabriel Maldonado hit an RBI triple in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Phil Frost in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 7th and singled in the 9th. In 2019 Maldonado has hit at a .352 clip with 45 hits, 8 home runs, 31 RBIs and has scored 26 times. |
