Church Runs Hit String to 20 Straight Games Thursday, July 4th, 2019 Edwin Church, catcher for the Sunset District Fog, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games with 4 hits in his club's 24-18 victory today over the Lévis Rocks at Fog Park. Edwin Church struck out in the 2nd, walked in the 3rd, hit a two-run double in the 5th, hit a two-run single in the 6th, singled in the 7th and hit a two-run single in the 7th. Presently Church is batting .347 with 2 home runs and 35 RBIs. He has played in 40 games and scored 24 times. |
