5 hits in a game has always been a magic number in baseball. Only a handful of players will do that. Get 5 hits in a game, and you get your moment of glory, your fifteen minutes of fame -- you get your name in the record book. In the Fog 24-18 win over Lévis, Brian Ray was red-hot today, scorching them for hit after hit at Fog Park. "To hit the ball consistently well, you have to relax. I was relaxed for the first four hits, but I must admit, I got a little tight when I realized I had a chance for a 5-hit game. On the last at-bat, I was ready to swing at anything close." On his big day Ray delivered 5 hits in 7 at-bats. Brian Ray flied out in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, tripled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, flied out in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.

Ray is batting .328 this season in 14 games with 4 home runs, 11 RBIs and 11 runs scored. He has 19 hits in 58 at-bats.
