Paradela Goes Yard 3 Times Wednesday, July 3rd, 2019 Today was a special one for Vasco Paradela of the Calgary Lynx as he slammed three home runs against the Sylvania Maple Leaves. But it didn't end on a happy note. The Maple Leaves outhit him and got the win by a score of 8-5. Nevertheless the Calgary right fielder had quite a game at Ballpark of Richmond as he collected 3 hits in 4 at-bats, drove in 3 and scored 3 runs. "Lately, I been uppercutting the ball too much. I would hit it hard, but they just went sky high and stayed in the ballpark," he said to sportswriters after the game. "No big long outs for me in this game ... I leveled out my swing and connected on the sweet spot three times. I knew they were gone the minute I hit 'em." Vasco Paradela struck out in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Han Sawallisch in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Juan García in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 9th. Currently Paradela has 14 home runs and a .345 batting average. |
