Monday, October 14th, 2019
Several BC and Whalers players soon will have to start shopping for a new home. It was announced today that the two teams came to agreement on a trade. Lone Star will get 30-year-old reliever Jesús Cantú and Hartford will pick up 28-year-old minor league starting pitcher Bill Kelly and 27-year-old minor league starting pitcher Floyd MacFadden in return. "I'm not surprised by the news," one of the players told reporters, "It's part of the business and I understand that. I am looking forward to playing for the BC."
Lifetime MacFadden has posted 7 victories and 12 defeats with a 4.32 ERA.
Cantú has a 8-6 won-lost record over his career with a 4.52 ERA. In 52 games he has recorded 1 save and the 30-year-old has 93 strikeouts in 79.2 innings of work.
