Chicago, Thunder Bay Close Deal Monday, October 14th, 2019 The Gold Sox and Northern Lions BC announced a deal that was completed today. Chicago sent 19-year-old minor league shortstop Caetano Alfena, 17-year-old minor league starting pitcher Mauro Guerra and 19-year-old minor league catcher Carlos Padilla to Thunder Bay for 30-year-old starting pitcher Makoto Kato. Both teams appear happy with the outcome of the trade. The general managers told the Baseball News Network they felt the swap was beneficial for the both teams and the players. |
