Jones Holds Colt .45s Scoreless
Sunday, September 1st, 2019
In an outstanding outing, Harrison Jones tamed Houston 1837 on a 2-hit shutout. The Capital District hurler went the distance, finishing with 4 strikeouts and 3 walks in the 7-0 win.
"He had a lot of first pitch strikes and kept us off balance with a lot of off-speed stuff," according to the Houston 1837 manager. "We just didn't get too many balls squared up today."
Jones has fashioned a 8-6 mark for the season, 2.91 ERA and thrown 130 innings in 18 starts. Opposing clubs are batting .221 against him.
