Suspensions Handed Out for Bench-Clearing Brawl Tuesday, August 27th, 2019 Houston 1837's Steve Hinkle and Seattle's Ryan McCall have been handed 10-game suspensions for their parts in yesterday's upheaval at Houston Grounds. The teams were notified today that the suspensions would go into effect immediately. According to the league commissioner Hinkle and McCall provoked and incited the brawl and bore the blame for what transpired. Hinkle is batting at a .238 pace this season, picking up 46 hits in 193 at-bats with 5 home runs, 27 RBIs and 21 runs scored. |
