2019 SL Best Newcomer Named Friday, October 25th, 2019 2019 was an impressive year for Detroit first baseman Bart Lewis and it was capped off today with the announcement that he has been named the winner of the Silver League Newcomer of the Year Award. Lewis compiled a .327 batting average and a .410 on-base percentage this season. In 56 games he piled up 65 hits, 20 home runs, 53 RBIs and 42 runs scored.Ralph McKinney of the Chicago Gold Sox finished second in voting, while Jorge Trevino of the Athletic Club KC finished third. |
