Yong-oon Yi Hurt, Out 4 Weeks Tuesday, September 17th, 2019 The Columbus Tidal Waves were dealt a severe blow when Yong-oon Yi was hurt making a defensive play recently in a game against the Chicago Gold Sox. After the game, the team trainer reported Yi might have to spend a lengthy time on the disabled list. Today doctors confirmed it, ruling the 31-year-old left fielder out for the rest of the season with chronic back soreness. They indicated it would take Yi at least 4 weeks to heal. For the year Yi is hitting .345 with 28 home runs. His stats include 73 runs batted in and 64 runs scored. |
