Washington Has Hot Hand, Bangs 5 hits Sunday, September 8th, 2019 5 hits in a game doesn't happen every day. Athletic Club KC's Lawrence Washington had a very special day against the Tidal Waves when everything came together for him and he did just that -- collected 5 hits in 7 at-bats -- and led the Athletic Club KC Athletics to a 10-9 win at Tidal Wave Park. "I'm just out there to try and help the team win," Washington said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats today. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em." Lawrence Washington singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th, singled in the 8th, doubled in the 10th, flied out in the 13th and hit an RBI single in the 15th. This year Washington is batting .268 with 4 home runs. He has scored 25 runs and driven in 16. |
