SL Star of the Week Named Monday, August 26th, 2019 Matt Sheppard went on a week-long hitting spree against Silver League pitchers and captured the Player of the Week honors. The Las Vegas third baseman battered the opposition for 11 hits, 2 home runs, 8 runs batted in and scored 5 runs. He hit .458 and posted a .458 on-base percentage. In his stats this season, Sheppard has posted a batting average of .283 with 87 hits in 307 at-bats, 8 home runs and 42 RBIs. He has also scored 36 runs, walked 15 times and compiled a .322 OBP. |
