Wentworth Batters Grafton for 5 Hits Thursday, September 19th, 2019 "It was almost like batting practice. I saw the ball very well and could just about hit it anywhere I wanted." That's what California third baseman Frank Wentworth said to BNN reporters after his fantastic 5-5 day against the Grafton Middies at Field of the Middies. "I got some good counts and used the whole field." The Oceanliners had a good day, too, and won the ballgame 16-7. Frank Wentworth singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit a three-run home run off Luis Mata in the 3rd, walked in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th. This season Wentworth is batting .295 with 69 hits, 8 home runs, 34 RBIs, .354 OBP and has scored 33 runs. |
