Herrera Hears from Medical Staff Sunday, September 8th, 2019 Miguel Herrera will have to wait a while longer. The Phoenix reliever was informed this afternoon that he will miss another 5 months with bone chips in his elbow. The injury has kept him off the field since 09/07/2019. Though Herrera had hoped to return soon, he has no choice but to be patient. "Gotta stay focused," he said. "Gotta stay positive." This season Herrera has picked up 10 saves and posted a 4-3 record with a 3.16 ERA. He has 31 relief appearances, tossed 42.2 innings and struck out 29. |
