It was a masterful outing for Carlos Mata, who shut out Phoenix on 5 hits. Mata has made 20 starts, tossed 143.2 innings, struck out 164 batters and walked 44. His record is 10-4 with a 2.57 ERA and he has limited other teams to a .213 batting average. |
