Injury Worsens, Return Delayed For Smoke Cates Wednesday, September 4th, 2019 The Atlanta Smoke will have to do without shortstop Nate Cates even longer than expected. Team doctors say that Cates's recovery from a strained shoulder has not gone well and more time will be needed to treat it successfully. The Smoke trainer indicated it would be at least one week before they would consider activating Cates. To date this year Cates is batting .268 with 10 home runs. |
