Great Day for Gruzmán -- 5 Hits Sunday, September 1st, 2019 5 hits in 7 at-bats. It doesn't happen every day, and when it does, it's exciting. Today Júlio Gruzmán of the Lexington BC had a sensational game against Phoenix at Bashers Ballpark. He rifled base hits all over the ballpark in his team's 5-4 shellacking of the Hotspur. In the postgame press conference he joked, "Heck, that's a week's worth of hitting for me and I did ,it all in one day. I guess I can take the rest of the week off. Right, skipper?" Júlio Gruzmán grounded out in the 1st, doubled in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Edgar Martínez in the 5th, flied out in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 9th, doubled in the 11th and singled in the 13th. Currently Gruzmán is batting .278 with 21 home runs and 52 RBIs. |
