Plasenia Learns More about Injury Wednesday, August 15th, 2018 Nelson Plasenia will have to wait a while longer. The Mercer Island shortstop was informed this afternoon that he will miss another 4-5 months with a fractured ankle. The injury has kept him off the field since 08/14/2018. Though Plasenia had hoped to return soon, he has no choice but to be patient. "Gotta stay focused," he said. "Gotta stay positive." Plasenia is batting .262 this year with 6 home runs, 20 RBIs and 17 runs scored. He has 27 hits in 103 at-bats. |
