Romero Fires Shutout in Leupp Win Tuesday, August 7th, 2018 In an outstanding outing, Manuel Romero tamed Richland on a 2-hit shutout. The Leupp hurler went the distance, finishing with 8 strikeouts and 4 walks in the 12-0 win. "He had a lot of first pitch strikes and kept us off balance with a lot of off-speed stuff," according to the Richland manager. "We just didn't get too many balls squared up today." Romero has fashioned a 1-10 mark for the season, 5.69 ERA and thrown 110.2 innings in 24 starts. Opposing clubs are batting .296 against him. |
