Hit Parade: Gaines Pops 5 Hits Thursday, July 26th, 2018 "Believe it or not," said Santa Barbara second baseman Brent Gaines, "they threw me some good pitches today." That would be hard to believe for anyone who saw him dispose of the Rails with a great 5-hit performance. "He made it look easy," said the Richland manager, who saw his team fall to the Santa Barbara Streak, 12-1. "Hats off to him!" Brent Gaines hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI double in the 8th. Thus far this year Gaines is hitting .437 with 1 home run, 18 RBIs and 13 runs scored. |
