Palmer Smacks 5 Hits for Velocity Saturday, May 12th, 2018 Tom Palmer really sizzled at the plate today. In a game played at Pyramids Ballpark, the Colorado Springs center fielder blistered the Paynesville Pyramids for 5 hits in 7 at-bats to pace his club to a 17-9 victory. "Palmer was too tough to get out today," the Pyramids skipper said in his postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too." Tom Palmer singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th, hit a two-run triple in the 8th and flied out in the 9th. So far this season Palmer has hit .300 with no home runs, 4 RBIs and and scored 2 times. |
