Marmora Bids Farewell to Manager Martínez Monday, October 22nd, 2018 The winds of change have hit Marmora. Many saw the writing on the wall but it still came as sort of a surprise to the sports world when Roberto Martínez was fired earlier today. The team cited intellectual differences as a contributing factor to the decision but refused to go into details. All that is clear right now is that the hunt is on for a new manager. "Roberto just wasn't the right guy for our team and our situation right now," said a team official speaking on condition of anonymity. The Scramblers spokesman indicated that Martínez had not been meeting goals set out for him by the team owner. Martínez spoke with the press and said, "What's done is done. I'm just looking at my situation going forward, not backward. There's nothing I can change about the situation in Marmora. I just have to focus on what's to come next in my baseball future." |
