Campbell Runs Hit String to 35 Straight Games Saturday, August 25th, 2018 The Chesapeake Continentals stopped the Huntington Beach Surf today 15-6 and Thomas Campbell was able to hit safely again. The Chesapeake first baseman got 2 hits and ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 35. Campbell was excited after the victory and told the press, "I want to get a hit every time up. I want to get a hit every game I play. I want to win every game for the greatest fans in the world, Continentals fans!" Thomas Campbell hit an RBI single in the 2nd, grounded out in the 3rd, walked in the 5th, struck out in the 5th and singled in the 7th. For the year Campbell is batting .314 with 9 home runs, 42 RBIs and 50 runs scored. |
