Universe Chill Burgos's Hot Streak Saturday, August 4th, 2018 Bernardo Burgos of the St. Albert Prodigy came up empty at the plate today and went hitless in 4 at-bats. That put a quick end to his 22-game hitting streak. To make matters even worse, St. Albert dropped the game to the St. Petersburg Universe 5-3. In a postgame comment Burgos told the press, "It was not a good day today. We lost the game and the streak is over." This season Burgos has hit 10 home runs and posted a .343 batting average. |
