Scranton Right Fielder Nets 2AAA Award Monday, August 27th, 2018 A battle-tested Jesús Vargas declared war on opposing pitchers last week, attacking the ball like the well-schooled veteran he is. Today the 35-year-old Scranton right fielder collected the League 2 AAA Player of the Week Award. He wrapped up the week with a .647 average, 11 hits in 17 at-bats, 4 home runs, 8 RBIs and 6 runs scored. Posting a .353 batting average to date, Vargas has 27 home runs and 70 RBIs. |
