Capitols Chill Kimura's Hot Streak
Tuesday, August 21st, 2018
The Austin Capitols pitching did its job today, holding hot-hitting Tanyu Kimura hitless in 5 at-bats during a 3-2 victory over the Saint-Jérôme Amish at Renegades Stadium. This disappointing performance ended his 24-game hitting streak.
"I'm a little down right now," Kimura said after the game. "I couldn't get anything going when the team needed me, and I hated to see the streak end, too."
In 94 games this season Kimura has compiled a .315 batting average with 129 hits and 19 home runs. He has also scored 84 times and knocked in 70 runs.
