Hit Streak Now at 20 for Kimura Wednesday, August 15th, 2018 Tanyu Kimura of the Saint-Jérôme Amish just keeps going and going. The hot-hitting first baseman went 1-for-5 in his team's 10-1 victory over the Bay City Bombers at Field of the Amish and extended his hitting streak to 20 games. "He is definitely on a roll right now" said a Bombers pitcher. "I thought I made some good pitches against him, but he's a good hitter and hit 'em anyway." When asked about his performance, Kimura said, "I don't care if I go hitless as long as we get the win." Tanyu Kimura struck out in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, singled in the 6th and grounded out in the 8th. To date Kimura has chalked up a .312 average with 18 home runs, driven in 67 runs and scored 77 times. |
