Nix Hit String Snapped at 22 Sunday, July 29th, 2018 The Tremont Doubledays got more than a 9-5 victory over Scranton today at Doubledays Stadium. They put an end to Chet Nix's 22-game hitting spree by holding him without a hit in 3 at-bats. But it was no big deal to the Supernovas catcher. Nix seemed to feel more for his team than himself. "I had some great looks at some pitches that I should have hit. I missed some that I shouldn't have swung at. All in all, I wasn't much help with the bat today." Thus far this year Nix is batting .341 with 11 home runs, 37 RBIs and 27 runs scored. |
