League 1 AAA Names Gonzáles Best Batter Thursday, September 27th, 2018 It was a season to remember for Jorge Gonzáles and one for his opposing pitchers to forget. The left fielder for Bakersfield has claimed the 2018 Outstanding Hitter Award with a .375 batting average. Gonzáles rang up 184 hits, 31 doubles, 1 triple, 32 home runs, 109 RBIs and 97 runs scored. He also posted a .410 on-base percentage in his award-winning season.Kevin Howard of the Tortolita Drummers finished second in voting, while Bill Sackett of the Bakersfield Nobles finished third. |
