1AAA Player of the Week Selected Monday, August 20th, 2018 22-year-old Dave Orchard made a few Thomasville headlines during this past week as the rookie left fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and League 1 AAA officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 16 hits in 26 at-bats to put up a .615 average. Orchard collected 1 home run, 9 RBIs and scored 10 runs. For the season Orchard is currently batting .342 with 10 home runs and 55 RBIs. In 83 games he has reached base at a .379 rate and scored 54 runs to date. |
